Zadig is young and rich, possesses a good-natured attitude and has a sincere and noble heart. A bright future shines ahead of him. But Providence is capricious and he suffers all sorts of vicissitudes. Thus, every time he judges himself happy, misfortunes fall on him with unprecedented violence, even if at the last moment some unforeseen incident saves him from more dangerous danger. But, only to launch him into a new misfortune. Now Zadig is deceived by fickle women, is sentenced to execution after honestly serving the post of prime minister, is sold into slavery in Egypt…
