[...]The last teaching of Lacan...lacks a writing that would fix meaning and specify its scope. It thus conserves an open character and presents itself with an aporetic allure, as if one stumbled over an impossible-to-conclude.
It is perhaps that openness, that apparent incompletion, which allows us to grasp its relevance for today, and anticipates our present. And at the same time, in the present moment when pure psychoanalysis and applied psychoanalysis are in a relationship as unclear as ever, the openness of the last teaching is perhaps likely to help us.[...]
