This exemplary, extraordinary text was written by Donatien Grau for publication in the ‘Gazette’ of Galerie Pixi -Marie Victoire Poliakoff in Paris, to accompany my exhibition Doomed and Famous: Selections from the Adrian Dannatt Collection (3rd September-5th November 2022). This was the third iteration of this exhibition following New York and London, presenting a curious misho-masho of art works, books, objets and ephemera, chosen from the things I happen to have in each of those separate cities.

These exhibitions accompanied my book of the same name Doomed and Famous gathering a selection of the obituaries I published over the decades, largely of unusual, brilliant, eccentric and improbable individuals I have been lucky enough to encounter.
